SAS-TEC Ankle Guard
SAS-TEC, from Markgröningen, Germany, is a trailblazing innovator in body-armour protection with over 25 years of experience. Through rigorous riding and impact testing, they've developed deep insight into every kind of protection system on the market.
All VITE riding shoes use the SAS-TEC SC-1/AN ankle guard — a flexible, visco-elastic soft-foam protector with exceptional damping. Its residual force sits well below the EN 13634 industry standard of ~5 kN. And it's ultra-slim, almost invisible inside the boot — stealthy protection you feel only when you need it.
GORE-TEX Fabric
Gore-Tex is the gold standard in durability, waterproofing and breathability for premium outdoor gear. Its microscopic, porous membrane blocks rain and splashes from penetrating, while letting sweat vapour escape.

RIPSTOP Fabric
Ripstop's one-of-a-kind grid pattern gives our gear the toughness to handle everyday wear, sudden snags and unpredictable weather — without the bulk. Woven into our footwear, it locks in greater tear resistance and a longer lifespan.
Originally engineered for military parachutes in World War II to stop tears from spreading, that same reinforced crosshatch is now built into VITE gear. If a rip happens, it stays contained — keeping the shoe solid and functional. And despite its strength, Ripstop is remarkably lightweight, adding no extra weight to the ride.
UHMWPE Fabric
UHMWPE fabric is 12 to 15 times stronger than steel by weight, thanks to its ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fibres. Its excellent strength-to-weight ratio allows it to withstand extreme forces, impacts and abrasions while remaining lightweight, flexible and easy to handle.
Its high tensile strength and durability make it ideal for demanding uses like ballistic armour, safety gear, ropes and outdoor equipment. Additionally, UHMWPE resists UV rays, chemicals and moisture, ensuring long-lasting performance in harsh environments. Its combination of strength, lightness and resilience makes it a cutting-edge material for protective and industrial applications.
